The Kirby Nendoroid is a little bit different from your typical Nendoroid. Rather than having a face or feet that are connected by joints, all parts are magnetic - with the exception of twist on faces. I actually really liked this characteristic of the Kirby Nendoroid.
Kirby is an adorable Nendoroid, and comes with a ton of extra accessories !
I've gotten Figuarts characters before, but my collection is severely lacking in that department. After finding Blaziken for about $10 on Y!Japan, I decided it was time to expand!
He doesn't come with much - just a stand. However he is fully pose-able and even his fingers are jointed. The stand is pretty neat too!
Now I just need to figure out what I did with the Pikachu Figuarts figure I ordered last year about this time!
Though I've gotten figures from Phat! collabs before, this is the first larger figure I've gotten - not to mention first in the Parfom line.
I love the details, I love the faces, and I love how cute the characters are. The amount of accessories is awesome, and the sturdiness of the figure is great. However, there is something about the molding and the plastic that I just don't quite like. Immediately upon opening one of the small gold things on the extra set of hands came off with barely a touch. The parts were difficult to fit together, and the stand didn't want to work with the body.
I don't know, it's possible I just needed to be a little bit more forceful with everything, but I'm always afraid of breaking things. Either way I am happy with this figure, and I got her for a great price. However, I can understand why Parfom isn't a super well known brand yet. I would love to see it expand in the future, and I'll definitely be buying more if they come up cheap enough. The character design is great.
Also from the New Mystery of the Emblem Edition series is Marth! I had some problems with getting all of his parts to stay together. I have to say I love that GoodSmile has started to make Nendoroids with more joints (arms and legs are finally jointed) but it seems like some of the parts are just too heavy for those joints to support very well.
Regardless, Nendoroids are cute- so who really cares?
I know it's been forever since I posted about Nendoroids, but believe me- my collection hasn't stopped growing. I'm going to try to take the time to post many more Nendoroids over the next few months, so keep checking back! Not only do I have about twenty to thirty that I still need to take pictures of, but I have some on the way as well.
Anyway, here's Sheeda from Fire Emblem! Her exact title is "New Mystery of the Emblem Edition, and she comes with everything shown. Not many different faces for her, but I love that she comes with her own pet!
