I did end up getting one "Nendoroid" which is made by Chaoer rather than Goodsmile. I didn't realize it at first, which is my own fault for not paying close enough attention. I actually first noticed that something was off with this figure as soon as I handed the guy my money, as he had it in the back of the booth and I didn't really look before I decided to buy.
While I believe Chaoer is an authentic toy maker, they're quality is severely lacking in comparison to Goodsmile. I knew upon opening that while this isn't a fake or bootleg Nendoroid, it is a knock off and to not expect the best quality. That being said, it wasn't as bad as I was worried it would be.
The joints are a little out of place. The joint which holds her pony tail down doesn't go all of the way into her head and is noticeable unless pictures are taken from a certain angle. Certain parts are hard to remove and add to the figure, paint is somewhat sloppy.
Otherwise the figure is very cute, just as pose-able as a Nendoroid, and also comes with multiple faces and accessories. I'm still happy with her, despite the significant difference between Chaoer products and Goodsmile. She's a little taller than the typical Nendoroid, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you're looking for.
Regardless she's a great fit and I'm happy to add her to my collection. I guess it just goes to show that not always buying the same brand or same things is sometimes a good thing!
