From what I've heard, it's quite common for a Tangkou dolls feet to fall off during shipping. This is what happened with Lolli, and thankfully all is well other than that. She's a gorgeous doll, with super long hair (and I mean SUPER), decorated eye lids, and quite the cute outfit. Her joints are something between a type three and type four Pullip, being more poseable than a type three but still probably almost as fragile.
All around Tangkou is a little taller than Pullip. Maybe an inch taller than Pullip and an inch shorter than Taeyang. They're very similar in a lot of ways, and Tangkou are actually super good quality. I am hoping to add more Tangkou to my family soon too.
Tangkou's eyes can change color much like a Blythe. Though they can't move side to side, the different colors are looking in different directions which can give you nearly the same effect. I imagine if this bothered you too much you could always re-chip the eyes to the same color. If you're like me though, you'll love the fact that you can change her eye color so easily!
Honestly, I think Tangkou is a little more photo-genic than most Pullips. Lolli seemed to be the star of the photo shoot today!
Tangkou's come with a stand, passport, ID card, and an outfit. They're relatively inexpensive compared to Pullip, and though they're retired and the company is no longer in business are still somewhat easy to get.
