How many Gacha capsules does it take to complete a collection? Apparently more than one would think!
I bought several Gacha capsules from Gamestop after they got them in, figuring they'd go fast- boy was I right. However, that doesn't mean I got anywhere near a complete collection. Don't get me wrong, I know the risks associated with buying blind boxes and still love them to death, but I wish I would've been able to complete my set.
I should also note that the darker egg was obtained at a slightly later date from Barnes & Noble. Much to my dismay- the Barnes & Noble egg contained a figure from the previous set which I'd already had.
What you see in the picture to the right is what I ended up with for variation.
So what did I end up with? All that you see as well as two extra Link, and two extra Tetra.
The quality of these mini figures are probably about what you expect from any blind box figure- not so great. The detail is okay and the paint is okay overall though a little messy. There are some lacking qualities.
For example, a couple of the stands had weird extra plastic around the edges that needed to be peeled off.
Overall these are cute and fun capsules, but I wouldn't recommend going all out trying to complete a set like I did- the rarity/rates of finding anyone besides Link or Tetra is pretty uneven.
I feel that these are a good thing to grab one or two of if you just happen to see them in the store since they are a little rare, but I've seen much better quality mystery box items in the past. Did they not put a lot of effort into these because they figured they'd sell simply by being LoZ related? Maybe.
