If you're a die-hard Animal Crossing fan like me, chances are you've spotted the Isabelle Nendoroid before and wanted to own it yourself. Isabelle/Shizue is an adorable character in game, and makes an even cuter Nendoroid!
The Shizue Nendoroid comes with about the typical amount of Nendoroid parts, three faces, three sets of arms, some accessories, and some Animal Crossing emotions. I bought the spring version, and am still looking into getting the fall version of her.
This Nendoroid however is a little bit different than others in some aspects. She is as a whole, more complex. To change her face you actually have to take off her bangs, ears, and the back of her head- then pull her whole face out from her body.
Overall I really liked Shizue, and of course being the AC lover I am have had very little to complain about when it comes to her- but I did have a couple of issues. After removing her from her packaging, her hair band almost immediately broke when trying to attach one of the musical notes. She does come with two hair bands, one to attatch the ? and the note and the other with just the bell to go around her hair.
Something important to note here- I am always super SUPER careful with my toys, it is very rare that anything of mine gets broken or damaged. This is the only reason I feel the need to bring up how quickly her hair band snapped. I am a little disappointed with that, but she's still useable and adorable as ever.
I should mention as well- the hair band left a mark of red around the top of her head. It should come off pretty easily with magic eraser, but if this is a concern to you I recommend opening her (or never opening her) and trying to clean it off right away.
Her tail does somewhat get in the way of pushing the peg on the stand into her back, but if you turn her tail upside down it's easy enough. The tail will go almost completely straight back up after you have her in the position you want her in.
I would love to see the villager boy and girl, KK, Tom Nook, and maybe even some other animals make their way onto the Nendoroid scene... but I don't think that's too likely. If they do, I'll definitely be buying!
