Now I've had my fair share of rude postal workers, and I've had more than a couple of bad experiences with them. Then I had an amazing mailman, who I absolutely loved talking to. We would chat almost every single day! He took my packages, left my packages, even gave Lucky rides up and down the street in his mail truck. Now that is a mailman. However, the mailman at this house is absolutely awful.
He refuses to deliver any of my packages, whether someone is home or not. He will actually run up to the door as fast as he can and stick a note in it pretending no one answered, without ever knocking.
Before I say more, I should also let you know that during this past year he has done many awful things to my packages. One he threw up against the screen door and ran, so hard that it shook the door behind the screen door. I'm pretty sure it almost broke the glass actually. Another said "Computer Keyboard" on it (as it was from China, where they have to put what it is on the package..) and he literally put it on top of a pot filled with water. Precariously hanging over the edge, I might add. Yes, it could've fit between the screen door and door easily.
During Holiday season when I was working 60 hours a week nights I had to sleep during the day. I ordered many items online because I didn't want to have to go shopping when I was so exhausted. I told the mailman countless times, please, leave the packages by the door. If not by the door, in front of the cars or beside the garage is just fine. Every time he said, "Okay." He hasn't once.
After the third or fourth time I got a slip and no attempt at delivery, I went into the post office absolutely exhausted. I at that time about in the middle of a 23 day long stretch of working with absolutely no days off when I couldn't take it anymore. I went into the post office (he woke me up driving away, when he slammed his door shut. Never actually knocked on the door.) angrily. I was tired and warn out, but didn't yell- I didn't even argue.
I asked to speak to a manager calmly. I pointed out what had been going on and told him that I can't keep coming to the post office every day, he needs his sleep at night and I wouldn't expect him to get up in the middle of the night if I didn't do my job. His reaction? He grabbed the slip from me, crumpled it up and threw it at my face. He threw it at me. The manager then starts screaming at the top of his lungs about how he will personally make sure I "Will never get another package delivered to me again".
Looks like so far he's doing a pretty good job living up to that threat, as I've never gotten many more packages as well. I've tried reporting the manager and the mailman to the district, but they won't do anything about it. The manager at this post office is a total psycho-path. I feel like he'd probably come kill me if he gets the chance.
Anyway, now that you know what's been going on I'll show you the purpose of my rant-
Problem 2- Neither one of these packages need signed for. I know this for a fact.
There is literally no reason at all why he couldn't have left them. Did it look like no one was home? Not at all, with how many cars we have.. he's just being a jerk as usual. Gah, I'd be doing reviews today too if it wasn't for this jerk and his crazy asshole manager.
